SDSL FAQ

SDSL FAQS

What is SDSL?

Symmetrical digital subscriber line. In lay mans terms this means you upload and download with the same transfer speed.

How does SDSL compare to ADSL?

ASDL is good for casual entertainment and web surfing and costs less as well.
SDSL was created for multiple users, with symmetrical transfer speed, in addition to higher reliability. Generally designed for business class service with low contention ratios.

Why Consider Using SDSL?

Copper phone lines are installed in almost every home and business worldwide. Cable modem is not. DSL uses the already existing copper infrastructure thus maximizing previous investment. DSL, a
"per subscriber" service, provides built in security unlike cable modem which are always a shared line. DSL enables full use of the phone lines bandwidth, whereas cable modems users will enjoy only a fraction of their shared bandwidth.
